Submerged Arc Fluxes

Vorarc Welding manufactures a large range of submerged arc welding fluxes:

 

Acid Fluxes:

• add silicon and manganese to the weld metal

• work well even on rusty surfaces

• good slag detachability

• good weld appearance with even ripple

• improved weldability at the expense of reduced toughness

 

 

 

 

 

 

Neutral/Basic Fluxes

• Do not add any alloys to the weld metal

• Result in good mechanical properties

• Specifically very good weld toughness
