Tensitec (High Tensile) - Tensitec 110 and Tensitec 127
Tensitec 110 (AWS A5.5/A5.5M: 2006 E11018)
Description
Tensitec 110 is a basic electrode which deposits a low hydrogen chrome-molybdenum deposit with outstanding mechanical properties. Tensitec 110 can be welded in all positions to give a weld with high notch toughness and excellent impact properties. When welding severely restrained joints of heavy sections of high strength steels, a pre-heat of 200°C is needed.
Application
Used for welding high strength, low alloy steels in all positions especially for earthmoving equipment. Tensitec 110 can also be used to weld EN9, EN21, EN22 “roq-tuf” steels, COR-TEN axle steel armour plating and T1 steels.

Packaging
Electrodes are packed in 5kg boxes which are then packed into 25kg shipper cartons.
Re-Drying Procedure
Place electrodes in an oven at 300°C for half an hour.
Tensitec 127
Description
Tensitec 127 is a basic electrode which deposits a low hydrogen chrome-molybdenum–nickel deposit with high strength for cast steels. Tensitec 127 gives welds with tensile strength in excess of 1000MPa. The weld has a smooth finish and the slag detaches easily.
Application
Tensitec 127 can weld steels of similar chemical make-up in all positions. Preheating and post-weld heat treatment however must be performed on the parent material to avoid cracking.
