Ferrotec (Iron Powder - AWS A5.1/A5.1M: 2004 E7024)

 

Description

Ferrotec gives high metal recovery (in excess of 165%) and weld metal deposition rates twice that of conventional electrodes. The arc is forceful with exceptional penetration and negligible spatter. Weld appearance is bright and flat with smooth even ripples.

 

Application

For the welding of storage tanks, railway stocks, mine trucks, plate fabrication, fan castings and structural steel works. Standing fillet welds are ideal applications as well as the building up of worn components for example heavy machine rolls prior to hard facing.

Packaging

Electrodes are packed in 5kg boxes which are then packed into 25kg shipper cartons.

 

Re-Drying Procedure

Place electrodes in an oven at 150°C for 1 hour.
