Duratec 600
Description
Duratec 600 is an electrode containing high quantities of chrome and manganese. The electrode deposits a weld metal with some impact resistance and good abrasive resistance. Duratec 600 may be used for multilayer welding. In the case of badly worn surfaces it is advised to use Duratec 300 or 400 as buffer layers and to complete the surfacing process with 3 – 4 layers of Duratec 600.
Weld Metal Hardness
± 47 Rockwell C
Application
Typical applications include: grader blades, earth scoops, bucket lips, grousers, conveyor screws and blast hole augers.
